The 32nd-century president of Ni'Var, the reunified Vulcan and Romulan world, who led it back into the Federation and married Saru.
T'Rina is the president of Ni'Var, the planet formerly called Vulcan, where Vulcans and Romulans live together after the reunification Spock began centuries earlier. When Michael Burnham asked for Ni'Var's secret SB-19 research to trace the Burn, T'Rina was impressed by Burnham's honesty in withdrawing from the trial she had invoked and handed over the data anyway.
She formed a close bond with Saru, used her telepathy to help Cleveland Booker revisit memories of his lost nephew, and steered negotiations for Ni'Var to rejoin the Federation, agreeing to a compromise that set up independent oversight of the union. She also joined the first contact mission to Species 10-C beyond the galactic barrier, where she learned that the 10-C shared their thoughts.
Saru later became her fiance and left Discovery to serve as a Federation ambassador so he could be closer to her. Weeks after the Progenitor crisis, the crew attended their wedding.
