A day in the life of Data, including a wedding and a spy mission.
Data records a letter to his friend, Dr. Bruce Maddox, and describes a day on the Enterprise, in which he observes human behavior with curiosity and humor. Among the day's events are the wedding of Miles O'Brien and Keiko Ishikawa, the dance lessons that Data is taking, and a visit by a Vulcan ambassador, who proves to be hiding a secret.
The story is a light, observational one, and shows Data's attempts to understand human life. It was the first episode to feature Keiko, and it gives O'Brien a bigger role as a recurring character. The mystery of the ambassador, who turns out to be a Romulan agent, adds a note of suspense. It is a charming and often funny hour.
