Quark takes up with an arms dealer.
Deep in debt, Quark accepts an offer from his cousin Gaila to join the arms dealer Hagath, demonstrating weapons to buyers in his holosuites. The money flows, but his friends, especially Jadzia Dax, turn their backs on him.
When a client, the Regent of Palamar, wants weapons to kill millions of his rival's followers, Quark cannot stomach it. He secretly brings the Regent's opponent, General Nassuc, to the station and lets the two meet, blowing up the deal; the Regent is later killed. Quark ends up back in debt after Sisko bills him for the damage. Meanwhile, O'Brien cannot stop baby Kirayoshi from crying unless he holds him.
