The infant son of Miles and Keiko O'Brien, carried to term by Kira Nerys after a shuttle accident.
Kirayoshi O'Brien is the second child of Miles and Keiko O'Brien and the younger brother of Molly. After an accident in Body Parts, Bashir transfers the unborn baby from Keiko into Kira Nerys, who carries him for the rest of the pregnancy.
Kira gives birth in The Begotten, with Miles and Kira's partner Shakaar bickering at her side, and then hands the baby over to his parents. In Business as Usual, the baby, nicknamed Yoshi, cries constantly unless his exhausted father holds him, until Worf finally settles him.
