Soji Asha is a synthetic being at the heart of the first season of Star Trek: Picard, played by Isa Briones. Created from the positronic neural material left behind by Data, she is the twin of Dahj and believes herself to be human, working as an investigator at the Romulan reclamation site on a derelict Borg cube.
Her discovery of her true nature sends her on a journey of identity. She meets Picard, confronts the secrets of the synthetic community, and learns that powerful forces wish to use or destroy her kind. In the climax she is forced to choose between her loyalties, and her choice proves to be pivotal in preventing a terrible war between synthetics and organic life.
