A 29th-century Starfleet timeship captain who repeatedly clashed with USS Voyager while trying to protect the timeline.
Braxton was a captain in the 29th-century Starfleet who commanded a timeship charged with policing the timeline. He first encountered USS Voyager when he became convinced the ship would cause a catastrophe destroying the solar system in his time, and he tried to destroy it to prevent the disaster.
The confrontation sent both vessels back to 20th-century Earth, where Braxton was stranded for decades and lived as a homeless man while an entrepreneur exploited the technology from his crashed ship. Voyager eventually helped restore the timeline, and a version of Braxton unaffected by these events returned the crew to the Delta Quadrant.
In a later incident a version of Braxton, suffering mental strain from his repeated time travel, attempted to sabotage Voyager even before its launch. The Temporal Integrity Commission recruited Seven of Nine to stop him, and he was arrested by an earlier version of himself. Braxton illustrates the paradoxes of the Temporal Cold War era and Starfleet's later time-policing.
