The Aeon was a small Federation timeship from the 29th century, commanded by Captain Braxton of the temporal agency charged with protecting the timeline. Believing Voyager responsible for a future disaster that destroyed the Sol system, Braxton attacked the ship in 2373, and both vessels were drawn into a temporal rift.
Braxton and the Aeon crashed on Earth in 1967, where the young Henry Starling salvaged its technology and built a computer empire on it. When Voyager arrived in 1996, Starling tried to fly the Aeon into the future, an act that would have caused the very catastrophe Braxton feared, and Voyager destroyed the timeship before it could do so.
