Posing as her mirror self, Burnham meets the rebels led by a mirror Voq and learns that Ash Tyler is really the Klingon Voq.
In command of the ISS Shenzhou, Burnham is ordered to wipe out the leaders of a resistance against the Empire. She and Tyler secretly meet them instead and find that the rebels are led by the Klingon Voq, known as the Fire Wolf, alongside a mirror Sarek.
Hearing Voq triggers Tyler's buried identity. He reveals that he is the Klingon Voq, surgically altered to pass as human, and attacks Burnham. She beams him into space, where Discovery picks him up, and Saru and Tilly lock him away after finding Culber's body. At the end, the Terran Emperor appears and is revealed to be a mirror version of Philippa Georgiou. Lisa Randolph wrote the episode and T. J. Scott directed.
