Raffi refuses Picard but points him to the pilot Rios and his ship La Sirena, and Jurati joins after surviving a Zhat Vash attack.
Raffi, who lost her Starfleet career after Picard resigned, is bitter and turns him down but recommends a freelance pilot, Cristobal Rios. On the Artifact, the reclamation director Hugh lets Soji interview Ramdha, a Romulan former drone who calls her the Destroyer and tries to kill herself.
Zhat Vash agents attack Picard at the vineyard, and Jurati helps fight them off. Picard brings Jurati aboard Rios's ship, La Sirena, and Raffi joins at the last moment, believing Soji's creator Bruce Maddox is on the planet Freecloud. Michael Chabon and James Duff wrote the episode.
