The crew visits a lost human colony.
Enterprise visits Terra Nova, Earth's first interstellar colony, which fell silent decades earlier after a dispute with Earth. The crew finds that the original settlement has been abandoned and that the descendants of the colonists now live underground.
The Novans believe Earth attacked them, and they distrust Archer's team. In fact, an asteroid impact had poisoned their land and water with radiation, killing many of the original settlers, and the survivors blamed Earth. Archer and Phlox help them understand what happened and arrange for them to resettle in an uncontaminated region. The episode was directed by LeVar Burton, with a teleplay by Antoinette Stella.
