An elder of the Novans, descendants of Earth's first deep-space colony, who rediscovers that she was born human.
Nadet is one of the leaders of the Novans, the survivors of the Terra Nova colony who have lived underground for decades. In Terra Nova she and her son Jamin take Archer and Phlox to the captured Malcolm Reed, and Phlox discovers that she has lung cancer caused by radiation seeping into the water supply.
While being treated aboard Enterprise, Nadet sees records showing that the colony's poison rain came from an asteroid strike, not from Earth. A family photograph helps her realise that she was once a girl named Bernadette, and she helps persuade her people to relocate to safer ground.
