Trip becomes pregnant after an alien liaison.
Tucker spends several days helping the Xyrillians repair the engines of their damaged ship, which has been secretly drawing power from Enterprise. During his stay he befriends an engineer named Ah'Len, who shares a holographic game with him that involves a playful mental link.
Back on Enterprise, Tucker discovers that he is pregnant, the result of that innocent encounter. Archer must track down the Xyrillians, and the situation is complicated by a Klingon ship that the aliens have also bargained with. In the end a Klingon agrees to carry the embryo in Tucker's place. The comedic episode was directed by Mike Vejar and written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.
