Worf's son joins the Klingon fleet.
After rescuing Sisko's stranded crew, Martok's ship Rotarran takes on new recruits, among them Worf's son Alexander, who has joined the Klingon Defence Force without telling his father. Father and son clash repeatedly, Alexander struggles to fit in with the warriors, and Martok rebukes Worf for interfering on his behalf.
After Alexander proves himself during a Dominion attack, Worf promises to try to be a better father and Alexander is accepted into the House of Martok. On the occupied station, Dukat brings his daughter Ziyal aboard and uses her bond with Kira to court the major, sending her a dress for a party celebrating Ziyal's art.
