A Tellarite bounty hunter captures Archer to collect a Klingon reward, while T'Pol suffers from an infection that causes pon farr-like symptoms.
After Archer's escape from Rura Penthe in Judgment, the Klingons place a bounty on him. A Tellarite bounty hunter named Skalaar, played by Jordan Lund, poses as a friendly guide, then abducts Archer, hoping to use the reward to buy back his old ship. A rival hunter attacks them, and Archer persuades Skalaar to free him long enough to make repairs on a planet.
Skalaar delivers Archer to the Klingons but is shortchanged, so he tells Enterprise where to find them, and Archer escapes in a pod. Meanwhile, a microbe triggers a premature pon farr in T'Pol, who makes advances on Phlox during decontamination before being subdued. The episode was directed by Roxann Dawson.
