A Tellarite bounty hunter who captures Archer to collect the Klingon reward on his head.
Skalaar is a Tellarite who presents himself as friendly and offers to show the Enterprise crew around a nearby planet. In Bounty he is revealed as a bounty hunter who abducts Archer to claim the price the Klingons have set on him since his escape from Rura Penthe.
Skalaar wants the reward to buy back his old ship, the Tezra. When a rival hunter attacks, Archer persuades Skalaar to free him so they can make repairs together, and he learns more about the Tellarite's hard luck before Skalaar hands him to the Klingons.
