A wealthy Khionian cadet determined to become a captain, who discovered that Starfleet mattered more to him than his arranged future.
Darem Reymi is a Khionian cadet at Starfleet Academy who comes from a wealthy homeworld and arrives with high expectations of himself and of the academy. He is played by George Hawkins. Roomed with Caleb Mir, whom he initially resented, he aspired to command.
Darem won the captaincy of the academy's team in the combat game Calica, but his poor leadership in a match against the War College ended with him disqualified for fighting. During a break he was taken through a portal for a Khionian pre-wedding ritual, revealing that he was to become co-ruler of Khionia with his fiancee Kaira after graduating, and he named Jay-Den Kraag his best man.
At the wedding, Kaira saw that Darem had changed and called off the marriage. He went on to join Caleb, SAM and Genesis Lythe on the risky journey to find Caleb's mother.
