Cadets on break face mixed fortunes, and Caleb and Genesis are punished after breaking into the Athena's bridge.
The cadets scatter for a four-day break. Darem seems to be abducted through a portal, and Jay-Den follows, discovering it is a Khionian pre-wedding ritual: Darem is to marry Kaira and co-rule Khionia after graduation, and he makes Jay-Den his best man. At the reception, Kaira sees how Darem has changed and ends the engagement.
On campus, Caleb worries about the comatose Tarima, and Genesis frets over a possible nomination to the Pre-Command Track. The two break into the Athena's bridge, are caught by Jett Reno, and are sentenced by Ake to manual labor. Caleb finally tells Tarima how he feels. The episode was directed by Andi Armaganian and written by Alex Taub and Eric Anthony Glover.
