Enigmatic beings from Tau Alpha C able to blend space, time and thought, one of whom saw extraordinary promise in Wesley Crusher.
The Travelers are rarely seen beings with the power to move through space and time by thought. The Traveler who met the Enterprise said he came from Tau Alpha C and journeyed to study other species, often posing as an assistant to their scientists.
In Where No One Has Gone Before, he worked alongside a Starfleet propulsion expert while secretly using his own abilities, hurling the Enterprise to a far region where thoughts became real. He saw rare potential in Wesley Crusher. In Remember Me, he helped Wesley rescue Beverly Crusher from a collapsing warp bubble.
In Journey's End, the Traveler returned and Wesley left Starfleet to explore new planes of existence with him. Wesley later appeared as a Traveler himself.
