Beings who imposed the Organian Peace Treaty between the Federation and Klingons.
The Organians are beings of immense power who live on the planet Organia. They appear as simple villagers, but in truth they are creatures of pure energy who have moved beyond physical form and who regard physical bodies as unimportant. They are peaceful, unhurried and extremely advanced.
Their way of life is that of a gentle farming people, and they take little interest in the kind of struggles that concern other species. They hold a strong belief in peace and have very little interest in material things, although they can act decisively when they feel it is necessary to prevent conflict.
They appear in the original series episode Errand of Mercy, in which the Federation and the Klingon Empire are on the brink of war and both want to control Organia. Kirk and Spock try to organise a resistance among the Organians, but Ayelborne and Trefayne reveal their true nature and force an end to the fighting. The result is the Organian Peace Treaty, which both sides are made to follow.
