The smiling elder of Organia's council, who seems naive until the Organians reveal their power and stop a Federation-Klingon war.
Ayelborne leads the council of elders on Organia, a seemingly primitive planet that both the Federation and the Klingons want for its strategic position. In Errand of Mercy, Kirk tries to persuade him to accept Federation protection before a Klingon fleet arrives, but Ayelborne politely refuses.
When the Klingons occupy the planet under Kor, Ayelborne shelters Kirk and Spock and refuses to help either side fight. Finally the Organians reveal that they are beings of pure energy, disable both fleets and impose a peace treaty. He was played by Jay Novello.
