A Delta Quadrant people living on a water planet held together by a containment field, whose oxygen mining threatened their world's survival.
The Moneans are a Delta Quadrant people who live on an ocean planet with no solid core, a huge body of water held together by a containment field.
In Thirty Days, Voyager helped the Moneans investigate why their ocean was shrinking. Tom Paris and the Delta Flyer explored its depths and discovered that Monean oxygen mining was destroying the planet. When Monean leaders resisted the conclusion, Paris tried to sabotage the mining, for which he was demoted to ensign and sentenced to thirty days in the brig.
