Small, fast attack ship of the Kazon sects, a constant danger to Voyager during its first two years in the Delta Quadrant.
Kazon raiders were the small, fast attack ships of the Kazon sects of the Delta Quadrant, built from technology the Kazon had seized from the Trabe, their former oppressors. Individually outclassed by Voyager, they were dangerous in numbers.
Raiders harassed Voyager from its arrival in the Delta Quadrant in Caretaker, and in Initiations Chakotay was caught up in the rite of passage of a young Kazon-Ogla named Kar. The Kazon-Nistrim, led by Culluh and aided by the defector Seska, later used raiders in repeated attempts to capture Voyager's technology.
