The rival factions of the Kazon, a violent nomadic species that harassed Voyager in the Delta Quadrant.
The Kazon are divided into numerous rival sects, including the Ogla and the Nistrim, which compete for territory, water and technology. Once enslaved by the Trabe, the Kazon rose up and overthrew them, but they have never united into a single state.
Jal Culluh of the Kazon-Nistrim, aided by the former Voyager crewmember Seska, pursues Voyager through its first two seasons and briefly seizes the ship. Episodes such as Initiations and Alliances explore Kazon rituals and the shifting politics between the sects.
