Scientists in the Arctic discover debris and frozen bodies from a Borg ship, remnants of events in Star Trek: First Contact. When the drones are revived, they assimilate the research team and take over a transport ship.
Enterprise pursues the Borg, who have begun to assimilate a crew of an alien ship. Phlox is infected and uses his knowledge to cure himself. Archer eventually destroys the Borg vessel, though they had already sent a message toward the Delta Quadrant.
