On a mobile planet recreating a fairy-tale kingdom, La'An is cast as a princess and confronts her softer side while storybook doubles of Pike and Spock infiltrate the ship.
The Enterprise discovers a flat, mobile planet that recreates the Elysian Kingdom, a storybook realm with castles and fairies. Pike, Spock, La'An and Pelia beam down, where a counterpart of M'Benga labels La'An a kidnapped princess.
La'An is cast as the emotional Princess Thalia, which forces her to face the gentler side of herself that she usually keeps hidden. Meanwhile, fantasy versions of Pike and Spock sneak aboard the Enterprise to escape Queen Neve. By the end the queen is stopped, La'An is more open to connection, and Pelia stays behind to study the planet.
