B'Elanna becomes the muse of a playwright.
B'Elanna Torres and Harry Kim crash the Delta Flyer on a planet whose culture resembles ancient Greece. Kim escapes in a pod, while Kelis, a poet, finds the injured Torres in the wreckage. Inspired by the stories she tells of Voyager, he writes plays about the crew for his wealthy patron, and when his patron demands a new one within a week, he finally asks Torres for help.
Torres helps him while she works to build a transmitter, and the two develop a bond as she teaches him about her life and her crewmates. On the opening night, he fears his ending will fail, and Torres comes to the stage to finish it, vanishing as Voyager beams her away, which the audience takes as a divine act. The sixth-season episode is a reflection on storytelling and the power of drama, told largely through Kelis's theatre.
