Archer receives three Orion slave women as a gift, but they have plans of their own, while Tucker and T'Pol confront their psychic bond.
Archer negotiates with the Orion trader Harrad-Sar, who gives him three Orion slave women as a gift. The women soon begin to affect the male crew, who become aggressive, distracted and short-tempered, while the women work their way into key positions aboard the ship.
T'Pol and Phlox discover that the women release powerful pheromones, and that the Orion men are not the masters: the women are the true power in their society, and they are trying to take Enterprise. Tucker is largely immune because of his psychic bond with T'Pol, and he and T'Pol come to terms with the link between them. The episode was directed by Allan Kroeker and written by Manny Coto.
