Klingon courier whose crash in Oklahoma in 2151 led Starfleet to launch Enterprise early to bring him home.
Klaang was a Klingon courier who crashed his ship in a cornfield in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, in 2151 while fleeing Suliban pursuers. He killed the two Suliban who followed him but was critically wounded by a frightened farmer. Played by Tommy Lister, he was carrying evidence of a Suliban Cabal plot to sow civil war in the Klingon Empire.
The Vulcans wanted Klaang left to them and the launch of Enterprise delayed, but Archer persuaded Admiral Forrest to let the new ship return him to Qo'noS. After the Suliban abducted him, the crew recovered Klaang and delivered him and his evidence to the Klingon High Council.
