The straight-laced commander who leads Starfleet's War College and resents Nahla Ake's return.
Commander Kelrec heads the War College, the military-focused Starfleet school that kept operating through the Burn while the academy was dormant. He is played by Raoul Bhaneja. His cadets and Nahla Ake's quickly fell into a rivalry of pranks and competitions.
Kelrec revealed that he resented Ake for abandoning Starfleet fifteen years earlier, but the two reconciled and agreed to work together. They sent their cadets on a joint training mission to the derelict USS Miyazaki, which went badly wrong when the Furies attacked.
