Humanoids from the 27th century who travelled back in time to recover the Tox Uthat, a weapon hidden on Risa.
The Vorgons are a humanoid species from the 27th century who possess the ability to travel back in time. They are known for pursuing powerful artifacts whose existence could change the course of history.
In Captain's Holiday, two Vorgons, Ajur and Boratus, travelled to the 24th century to recover the Tox Uthat, a device able to halt nuclear fusion inside a star, which had been hidden on Risa. Picard, vacationing there, became caught up in the hunt alongside Vash and a Ferengi rival. He finally destroyed the Uthat, and the Vorgons left empty-handed.
