The Brunali live on a planet near a Borg transwarp conduit that has been attacked by the Borg several times. They live simply and keep their settlements and technology modest so as not to attract the Collective's attention, while working to restore crops ravaged by those attacks.
In Child's Play, Voyager returned Icheb to his parents, Leucon and Yifay. Seven of Nine learned that they had genetically engineered him to carry a pathogen that would sicken any drones who assimilated him, and had deliberately let the Borg take him. Seven rescued him again, and he remained aboard Voyager.
