Shapeshifting beings able to take on almost any form, including the guardian Anya and the young heir Salia of Daled IV.
Allasomorphs can change their shape and size at will, appearing as anything from a slight humanoid to a massive, snarling creature. Salia, heir to the divided planet Daled IV, and her fiercely protective governess Anya are both allasomorphs, though Salia grew up in exile away from her homeworld.
In The Dauphin, the Enterprise carried Salia home so she could unite the two factions left by her late parents. Wesley Crusher fell for her and was shaken to learn her true nature, while Anya's violent, shape-shifting protectiveness alarmed Dr. Pulaski and the crew.
