Salia was a young shape-shifting allasomorph raised in exile to unite the warring factions of Daled IV, and Wesley Crusher's first love.
Salia was the heir to Daled IV in The Dauphin. Her parents, leaders of the planet's two opposing factions, had died, and she had been raised in seclusion so that she could one day unite her people. The Enterprise was assigned to carry her and her guardian Anya home.
On board, Salia and Wesley Crusher fell for each other. Wesley was shaken to learn that Salia, like Anya, was an allasomorph who could change her shape, and that her human appearance was only one of her forms. She showed him her true form before leaving to take up her duty on Daled IV.
