Echo Papa 607 was an automated weapons system from the planet Minos, whose people had grown wealthy selling weapons. In The Arsenal of Freedom, the Enterprise-D searched for the missing USS Drake and found that a demonstration of the system was still running long after Minos's inhabitants had been killed by it.
The drones learned from each attack and returned stronger. While Picard and Crusher were trapped on the surface, La Forge commanded the Enterprise and destroyed an orbiting drone by luring it into the planet's atmosphere, and Picard shut the demonstration down by agreeing to buy the system.
