The unified world of Vulcans and Romulans.
Ni'Var is the name of the former planet Vulcan in the thirty-second century, after the Vulcans and Romulans reunited there. The planet's people include both Vulcans and Romulans, who share its government.
The world appears in Discovery's third season episode Unification III. Michael Burnham asks Ni'Var's leaders for access to their records on the Burn, which leads to a hearing presided over by President T'Rina. Burnham learns that the reunification had been helped by the legacy of Spock's work toward it in the twenty-fourth century. Ni'Var had left the Federation after the Burn, but it later rejoined.
Behind the scenes, the name was taken from an old fan-written Vulcan term meaning two forms, coined by the linguist Dorothy Jones in a 1960s fanzine. Discovery writer Kirsten Beyer chose it because it reflected the union of Vulcans and Romulans.
