A planet hidden in an uncharted nebula where Krall stages his attack on the Enterprise in Star Trek Beyond.
Altamid is a planet inside a dense nebula near Starbase Yorktown. In Star Trek Beyond, the Enterprise crash-lands there after being torn apart by Krall's swarm of ships. The planet holds the remains of an ancient civilization and their technology, which Krall uses to prolong his life.
The USS Franklin, missing for more than a century, also lies grounded on Altamid. Its former captain, Balthazar Edison, became Krall after the ship was stranded there. Jaylah lives in the Franklin, which the crew repairs to escape.
