Archer races to destroy the weapon near Earth while Enterprise and its allies battle the beings behind the spheres.
Near Earth, Shran's ship destroys a Reptilian vessel, allowing Archer, Reed, Sato and a MACO team to board the Xindi weapon, where Archer kills the Reptilian commander Dolim. The weapon is destroyed, and Archer is presumed dead. In the Expanse, T'Pol and Tucker use a modified deflector to destroy a key sphere, setting off a chain reaction that eliminates the network.
Enterprise returns to Earth but cannot contact Starfleet, and a shuttlepod is attacked by World War II-era aircraft. In a German field hospital, a burned Archer is examined by SS officers, one of whom is an alien. The episode was directed by Allan Kroeker and written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.
