In the series finale, Riker and Troi watch a holodeck recreation of Enterprise's final mission before the signing of the Federation charter.
Set during the events of The Next Generation episode The Pegasus, the series finale shows William Riker and Deanna Troi of the Enterprise-D using the holodeck to recreate the NX-01's last mission, in 2161, six years after Terra Prime. Riker studies the crew to help him decide how to handle a secret from his past.
As Enterprise returns to Earth for the signing of the Federation charter, Shran asks Archer for help, and Tucker is killed while saving Archer from attackers. Archer then prepares to give his speech at the founding ceremony. The finale was criticized by many fans and some cast members. It was directed by Allan Kroeker and written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga.
