Seven of Nine remembers her past.
Seven of Nine, still adjusting to human life, has visions of a large black bird and of the Borg. As she tries solid food for the first time, Borg implants begin to grow back and she threatens Neelix. She then steals a shuttle and flies into the space of the B'omar, whom Janeway is negotiating with for passage, following what she senses is a Borg homing signal. Tuvok boards her shuttle to bring her back, but she overpowers him.
On a moon, Seven and Tuvok find no Borg, only the wreck of a partly assimilated Federation ship, the Raven, which belonged to her parents and was where the family was taken by the Borg. The pair escape a B'omar attack and Voyager flees their space. The fourth-season episode explores Seven's trauma and her lost childhood as Annika Hansen, and it ends with her resolving one day to read the records on her parents.
