The crew learns what is happening to Data and the Borg.
The seventh season opens with Picard and Geordi captured by Lore, who has taken control of a group of Borg and is using them to carry out his plans. Data, who has been influenced by his brother and has received emotions, is torn between loyalty and morality. The crew has to find a way to save the ship and to stop Lore.
The story puts Data's newfound feelings under strain, and the question is whether they will drive him to cruelty. The final confrontation is between the two brothers, and the outcome is dramatic. It is an action-heavy story that resolves the cliffhanger, and it leaves Data with a lasting consequence that carries into later stories.
