A Romulan former Tal Shiar agent who helped run Chateau Picard alongside his partner Laris.
Zhaban was a Romulan and a former member of the Tal Shiar who, with his partner Laris, lived at Chateau Picard and looked after Jean-Luc Picard's household and vineyard in France. The pair were fiercely protective of Picard and drew on their intelligence experience when he became caught up in the hunt for Data's synthetic daughters.
Zhaban died roughly a year and a half before Picard was drawn into Q's final trial, leaving Laris alone at the chateau. He was played by Jamie McShane.
