A Quarren law enforcement investigator who kept digging into the disappearances behind Voyager's abducted crew, even after he was taken off the case.
Yerid is an investigator on Quarra in Workforce, Part II. He questions Voyager's crew members working at the energy plant about the disappearances of B'Elanna Torres, Neelix and the man calling himself Kotay, in reality Chakotay in disguise, who have been taken back to the ship.
Though he is relieved of duty when his inquiries threaten the people behind the labour scheme, Yerid continues to investigate, and his work helps expose the conspiracy to abduct and condition alien workers so that Janeway and the others can return to Voyager.
