Kobliad criminal who faked his death by transferring his consciousness into Julian Bashir's mind.
Rao Vantika is a Kobliad criminal who has eluded justice for years, repeatedly faking his own death. He is being transported as the prisoner of Ty Kajada, a security officer who has spent most of her life tracking him, when he dies aboard a damaged freighter.
In The Passenger, Kajada is convinced that Vantika is not really dead. A device under his fingernails proves he transferred his consciousness into another body, and it emerges that he has hidden inside Julian Bashir's mind, using him to plan the theft of a vital shipment. Once Vantika is removed, Kajada destroys his stored consciousness for good.
