Son of Grand Nagus Zek who failed his father's test of fitness to rule by plotting to murder Quark.
Krax is the son of Grand Nagus Zek, leader of the Ferengi Alliance. He expects to inherit his father's position, but Zek has doubts about whether his son has the cunning needed to lead their people.
In The Nagus, Zek names Quark as his successor and then appears to die. Krax, joined by Rom, conspires to have Quark killed so the title can pass to him. The plot fails when Zek reveals that he faked his own death as a test of his son, and he resumes his rule, judging Krax unready to succeed him.
