Quarren factory worker who fell in love with Janeway while her memory had been altered in Workforce.
Jaffen was a Quarren who worked at a power plant on the Quarren homeworld. In Workforce, Voyager's crew were abducted, had their memories altered, and were put to work in Quarren industry, and Janeway, believing she was an ordinary worker, met Jaffen when he helped her with her console. Played by James Read, he soon became her partner.
When Chakotay and the Doctor restored the crew's memories, Janeway chose to return to Voyager. Jaffen accepted that she belonged with her ship, and they parted on warm terms.
