Skrreean farmer who led her refugee people through the wormhole in search of their legendary homeland, Kentanna.
Haneek is a Skrreean woman who arrives on Deep Space Nine with the first group of refugees in Sanctuary. Her people had been conquered by the T-Rogorans, who were themselves conquered by the Dominion, and they come through the wormhole searching for Kentanna, a legendary homeworld.
Haneek becomes friends with Kira, but the Skrreeans decide that Bajor is Kentanna and the Bajoran government refuses them because of a famine. After her son Tumak dies attacking Bajoran ships, Haneek leads her people to Draylon II, telling Kira bitterly that the Skrreeans were farmers who could have helped Bajor.
