A Vaadwaur who was revived by Seven of Nine after nine centuries in stasis and who ultimately sided with Voyager against his own people.
Gedrin is a Vaadwaur who entered a stasis chamber with his wife Jisa as their city came under attack, expecting to wake within a few years. In Dragon's Teeth, Seven of Nine revives him almost nine hundred years later, on a radiation-shrouded world where Voyager has taken refuge from the Turei. Jisa's body has decayed, and Gedrin mourns her.
Gedrin persuades Janeway to revive his people in return for help in reaching the underspace corridors, but the crew learns that the Vaadwaur were aggressors who used them for conquest. When his people plan to seize Voyager, he warns Janeway and dies helping her and the Turei strike at the Vaadwaur fleet.
