Character Star Trek: Picard

Altan Inigo Soong

Cyberneticist, son of Noonien Soong

The son of Noonien Soong, who created synths on Coppelius and built the body that gave Jean-Luc Picard a second life.

Altan Inigo Soong was a scientist and the biological son of Noonien Soong, the creator of Data. A research partner of Bruce Maddox, he lived on Coppelius as a surrogate father to the colony of synthetic beings that he and Maddox had made. He was played by Brent Spiner.
Soong initially supported Sutra's plan to summon a synthetic alliance, but turned against her when he learned she had lied to the colony. After Picard died of his illness, Soong and Agnes Jurati transferred Picard's mind into a synthetic golem body he had prepared.
After his death, a synthetic being he had created was found at Daystrom Station containing his memories and those of Data, Lore, B-4 and Lal.
