Ten Forward is the crew lounge at the front of the Enterprise-D's saucer section, run by the bartender and confidante Guinan.
The lounge sits on deck ten at the forward edge of the ship, with wide windows looking out on space. Crew members and civilians gather there to relax, celebrate and talk over their problems, and synthehol keeps the drinks safe without the effects of real alcohol.
Guinan presided over Ten Forward and often gave advice to Captain Picard and other officers. The room also hosted receptions, performances and many quieter moments in the lives of the crew.
