The first Gamma Quadrant civilisation to make formal contact with the Federation, whose love of games turned dangerous at Quark's.
The Wadi are a humanoid species from the Gamma Quadrant who became the first Gamma Quadrant civilisation to make formal first contact with the Federation through the Bajoran wormhole. Their culture is devoted to games.
In Move Along Home, a Wadi delegation led by Falow visited Deep Space 9 and played Chula at Quark's bar. After Quark cheated, Falow drew Sisko, Kira, Jadzia Dax and Bashir into a life-sized and seemingly deadly version of the game. It proved to be only a game, and the officers returned unharmed.
